In todays high speed life where “work is worship” nobody has time to eat, but it is important to understand one thing “Health is Wealth” so eating is compulsory to work efficiently as well as effectively. So today I will be taking about a recipe which is easy to make as well as delicious to eat as a snack or along with your work.
Upma eating is even good for people who are having ailments like diabetes, low sodium, etc. So the none steps of making delicious as well as simple upma in less time are:
Step 1. Dry roast the suji and keep it at one side. Measure how much you want to take eg 1cup
Step2. Put about 1 1/2 tablespoon oil in the pan . Then put about a pinch of mustard seeds, Kari Patta (optional), green chilli (1)
Step3 when the mustard seeds start to crackle put in the sliced onions and fry them a bit.
Step4 put in any other veggies like carrots, peas, Gobi(quite small pieces as it takes longer to soften if possible keep to carrots and peas initially)
Step 5 put in the salt and if using red chilli powder a very small pinch.
Step 6 pour in 2 cups of water cover and let it come to boil to let the veggies soften a bit
Step 7 put in the suji . Mix nicely to avoid lumps.
Step 8 turn off the gas and cover to let the suji settle down and cook in steam for another 2-3 mins
Step 9 serve.
